Kari Furey

Currently residing in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Kari Furey uses analog photography and poetry to explore artistic themes of beauty, history, war, peace, nature and philosophy as well as a tool to process human existence.

A lover of art history, she is strongly inspired by the Surrealist, Bauhaus and Dada movements of the early 1900's and believes art is increasingly becoming a crucially important medium for our voice in a rapidly changing world. A world that needs our voices to spread kindness, compassion and inquiry into who we should be as human beings.
